Dinner parties

Posted September 17th, 2009 by Conrad

Lately I’ve been having dinner parties at my apartment about every other week. I haven’t felt much like going to Houston and so when I have time on weekends I’ve taken to cooking things, and hosting people. At home growing up in New York, my parents hosted people often, and my friends came over often; I miss that. So I have tried to re-create that activity here in Texas. So far I’ve had mixed results. Here are some of the pictures from two different nights. One of the nights I cooked a bunch of Turkish specialties, which I unfortunately did not take pictures of. You will have to do your best to see what foods are on the table in the photos I post. I even managed to get Turkish delight us for dessert and Turkish liquor to drink.

Conrad’s house parties are the best weekend activies in my opinion. Great conversations, great food, great hookah flavors, and every now and then a great board game thrown in. Thanks for opening your house to us!
