My father found this in the Washington Post over the weekend. This is how I feel people are around here. There are so many hard-line conservatives in this part of Texas, I feel that I am the only one still rooting for the president in this are. I want to see a successfully reformed health care system. Everyone else seems to be praying for him to fail so that they can say “we were right,” when it’s all said and done. It seems tragic that people would be hoping for/celebrating the failure of the president. I feel this political cartoon really captures the ‘spirit’ of the naysayers.
