Last Sunday, I was invited to hangout with Eli, a guy I work with. The day was very interesting to say the least. Mudding, shooting and making moonshine were the highlights.

Guns
That’s Eli’s rifle. It’s a replica of some famous rifle from the civil war. I apparently have a lot to learn since I didn’t know this gun. You will also notice I have a replica old school six shooter on my hip. They were both nice guns, but too loud.

Shooting

Eli is from Tennessee in case that’s not obvious. His truck was the on we took mudding, which got stuck in the mud shortly after this picture.

Eli's truck stuck in the mud
We were in a huge fieldĀ owned by one of Eli’s friends. We had to call him to bring a tractor to pull us out of the mud.

mash
After running around in the mud and shooting stuff all day, we made a mash to ferment into moonshine. It is actually incredibly easy to make this stuff. Eli is going to distill it today (it needs to ferment for a week), or if he waits until tomorrow, I will help him with the process. I made the mistake of bragging about how much fun my Sunday was at work. Eli called me on Wednesday to ask how many people I had told about us making moonshine. Apparently everyone that knows Eli on the project wants moonshine now. Lesson learned.
